Defender Heavy-Duty Tarp Shelter

I had another defender tarp it was top notch loved that thing. It got destroyed by extreme winds like 80mph, nothing would hold up to that. That was one good tarp and it served me well. This new one is junk. I put it up and had some winds of around 24 mph and it got destroyed. Not sure if the company has sold out or what. I would send a picture of where it tore, no wonder it ripped there was hardly any webbing to support it. The loop was nothing more than show. So upset to have paid good money for junk. I could have done better with a cheap tarp from Walmart.

Delivered a day early, looks well built

Nice to see a company making strong and weather resistant equipment. I had a small warranty issue which was quickly and helpfully resolved.

The 20x13 just withstood 2" of Acadia rain and kept 4 people and gear dry. Easy to pitch. This thing is essential gear.

I purchased the defender just under two years ago. Unfortunately, I was only able to use the tarp a handful of times. I was setting up in my backyard to test it before a camping trip (as i do with all my gear) and noticed a very small leak in one spot. I messaged Aquaquest and provided some pictures, and they gave me a new tarp! My friend who has had his defender for almost 4 years and uses it much more regularly than i do, said he's never had a leak, so I really do think mine was a rare case. Either way, the company stands behind its product! Thank you, Aquaquest!
